YouTube Channel

Youtube channel will be focusing on Sci-Fi anime such as Gurren Lagann, Steins: Gate, Psycho-Pass, Evangelion, etc.

Steins:Gate Rewatch (Episodes 1-7 Thoughts)

I didn't intend to make another analysis like I did with Psycho-Pass, but I just want to say that I feel like I'm watching this show for the first time.

When I originally viewed Steins: Gate, I thought that the first half of the show was okay because It was weird and confusing and for the second half is way better. But as I'm doing a rewatch of the show, I can safely say that this is one of the best shows of all time!

The first half feels entirely different now on a rewatch, as the first time I was either bored or confused by many things happening, but since I've seen it already once before I understand it well now. The most surprising things were how so many things that appear in the latter half of the show are hinted in the first half, like f.ex Mayuri raising her hand (her sad past), an evil organization (SERN), Moeka photographing everything (Her being apart of SERN), Kirisu's dad being a dick (Kirisus characterization), John Titor (Revealed to be Darus daughter), Okabe is the only one remembering anything (Reading Steiner), etc.

The first time, I liked the show and it got better the more I thought about it and after watching S: G 0, I feel that the show will now be greater as a whole.

Thoughts On The Psycho-Pass Movie

I watched this film during three different sittings and I can confirm that this got it together compared to season 2. In this movie, it was the same team as season 1 which consists of Gen Urubochi and Production I.G who went to create this, instead of the people who failed the second season.

Anyways, I thought it was decent. Not great, not bad just a decent movie.

It's Chrismas break!

It's finally Christmas break! After one and a half of having depression, I think it's now starting to move on. All I've done so far since coming home from school at 12 o'clock is eaten lunch and watched two episodes of Macross.

I'm actually quite enjoying Macross so far, it's a good 80's show but I wouldn't give it any higher than a 7. But I love the romance element in this show, it fits in extremely well.

I'm on day 8 on NoFap and during days 8-10 it gets harder, but after those days it begins to be easier again. The only thing that I need to do is to not jerk off, watch erotic media and do sexual transmutation, which what I'm doing right now with this blog post.

During this past week, I've been taking a break from the gym and guitar. When it comes to guitar, I've quit the course that I've been attending for the past two years, but that doesn't mean that I've stopped playing. The last song that I finished playing was the opening to Gurren Lagann. I need to play more anime-themed songs, that's been really fun to do.

When it comes to the gym, I'm super tired of going there and I'm going to do a new gym schedule. I'm going to focus mostly on aerobic exercises, while also doing some strength work.

What more to say? The urge to fap is pretty strong, but I will resist.

All Psycho-Pass S1 Notes

*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

EPISODES 1-3

Psycho-Pass is a show that's been a high priority on my PTW list. The only thing I knew before going into this show was that 1. Hana Kanazawa is playing the female MC, 2. It's a cyberpunk anime 3. It has 3 seasons and is airing one right as I'm typing and 4. The main villain is supposed to be amazing, 5. I've seen a pic with brains that have to do with the show and 6. The extremely catchy yet chaotic opening.

Episode 1: It had an interesting first 2 minutes of something that would happen later (TTGL also did this), It's a flash-forward where the main villain and Shinya Kougami basically had a fight, where I'm predicting it will either fit in or reappear in some of the last episodes in the show, so as of right now, it didn't make sense but it probably will. Then, I got some really great exposition where I understood what the Sibyl System and what a Psycho-Pass was. Apparently, the world in Psycho-Pass has something called a sibyl system, where it's built to make your life as suitable to you as possible. It's a guide into everything you do and it tells you what suits you the most for your personality and taste. Everyone in the world has a Psycho-Pass, that they can use to make sure that their whole life are in order and that every desire that an individual has gets fulfilled, except if you're a criminal. When the psycho-pass gets clouded, that's when the police break in and force you to go to therapy or get killed. No one in this show seems to get arrested, the criminals either get to therapy or immediately get slaughtered.

Anyways, like I mentioned in things that I knew before going into Psycho-Pass, Hana Kanazawa is here! Now, Hana Kanazawa is someone that I really like but I wouldn't consider her to be one of my favorites, but on Akane Tsunemori, she has done a superb job. Speaking of Akane, what a bishoujo! She is not only adorable, good-looking and one of the highest-ranking students at her university, she also has a great sense of justice. This is noticed when they had to kill someone who has a high crime rate in her Psycho-pass but is a victim. It's clear that she is shocked and that she feels that this is something immoral, but what she then does was so surprising. She then shoots Kougami, which was so fucking suspenseful holy shit dude arghghghgghghgh! Everything from them killing the perpetrator to her shooting Kougami was amazing. Psycho-Pass has seriously one of the best first episodes in anime history, it's up there with Monster, Gurren Lagann & Steins: Gate.

Episode 2: After the high intensity and dramatic first episode. This one is more slowed down and focuses more on dialogue and is set during the daylight. Kougami is now in the hospital and Akane feels gloomy about what has happened. Everyone kind of ignores her, but when they see that is was truly an accident that happened on her first day of the job, they start to talk to her again. There is no mission in this episode like the last one, it's a much more calm episode and we get to see Kougami explaining his actions where we get to see a flashback off something traumatic that had happened to him.

Episode 3: As the episode begins, we see a grunting Kougami working out. I'm starting to like him a lot as well, he has definitely had some great characterization so far in the show. Now, the crew with a mission! I didn't think that this fight between the perpetrator and him was as entertaining, mostly because he didn't blow upright and there in the most epic way like in ep.1. What was so interesting about the perpetrator was that he was a guy you felt bad for. He was bullied by his colleges, but then Kougami starts thinking that it's him that murdered some innocent lives, which is why they're investigating at that place.

Alright, so this was some of Psycho-Pass! I'm looking forward to watching some more of this show, it's been really great so far. I have no complaints except for the fight in Episode 3 only being alright.

EPISODES 4-9

This show is starting to get really interesting. In the first three episodes, I was way more focused on the main two characters in the story. But ever since Ep.4, I've been much more interested in the plot of the show. The show has a structure now, instead of just a stand-alone complex which was the first 3 episodes. Now, they spend 2-3 episodes investigating the crime and finding out who the criminal is.

However, if there is one character that has caught my eye more and more, it's the villain by the name of Shugo Makishima. At first, I thought that he would just be a guy who was behind one of the crimes. The one where it looked like a game, anyways, Behind these two investigations, the villain has been behind both of these. I can say that this man is manipulative, since he disguises himself as f.ex a teacher, while in fact not being one.

Remember that scene in episode 1? Where the criminal blew himself up with a weapon and he died in the most awesome way ever? Well, that finally happened again! In episode 6, where they had found the guy who had killed two of the online personalities (cant remember their names at the moment).

If there is something that I can applaud this show for, it's the way it plays with your expectations, like f.ex in episode 3 where the guy who I felt bad for was, in fact, the criminal that they were looking for. Here's how it all went down, 1. They looked for a killer at a workforce, 2. The main two see a guy who the viewer feels really bad for. 3. They feel bad for him and help him. 4. It turns out that he is the killer that they were looking for with the clouded psycho-pass. Furthermore, in the first case that was in the span of episodes 4 to 5 was unexpected, it was so cool to realize that Tsunemori had gone to a person who had given her advice and then it turns out that person would die.

The characters are still developing and I'm liking them even more and more. I think that Shougi and Tsunemori will eventually end up in a relationship since everyone in the show hints at her liking him and she blushes and says "chigau", she's too adorable.

Speaking of Shougi, now we finally found out what had happened in his past that has made him so emotionless and deadpan nowadays. It was that his colleague that he was close with died in an extremely brutal way.

EPISODES 10-12

Shougi has gotten shot again! This was surprising since I thought that he had become more "bulletproof" since Akane accidentally shot him out of fear. Shougo has now gone personal and has used Akane's friend in order to capture her and Shougi. What happened is that because Shougi is such an ISTP, he had safely avoided being kidnapped. Someone who was less fortunate however was the victim.

And Jesus christ.... Shogo is one evil motherfucker! He has now killed a character that I never thought would reappear again. And yet she did, that was one of Tsunemoris friend who Shogo killed. Before this incident, Shougi never killed anyone, he made other people kill his victims for him. If he's the king of the chessboard, then the cyborg is the bishop, and every other killer is a disposable pawn, like f.ex that psycho schoolgirl and that cyborg killer.

Questions behind the morality o the Sibyl System has sprung up again! Now the question is more of how many people can escape the system without their psycho passes getting clouded. Apparently, Shougo has never had his psycho-pass clouded before and his criminal coefficient is too low for him to get shot. He's supposedly an outlier of the system, Therefore, Akane couldn't just kill him with the dominator. She had to use a real weapon instead of the dominator that she's used to using. But what then happens is this: He killed her friend because when Tsunemori tried to kill him with a shotgun that he himself had handed over to over, she was too afraid to do so and missed.

My god do I absolutely love the dominator. Just how the weapon focuses on someone that has a high criminal coefficient and kills them in the most awesome way possible. With them just imploding, it looks so fucking cool!

Anyways, the show goes in a calmer note in Episode 12, which is an episode about a character that I haven't thought of at all so far: Yayoi. It was about her backstory and how she had eventually become an enforcer for MWPSB. What's so nice about this episode we get to see Sasayama, who later got killed. She was a guitarist in a band and what had happened that she talked with a person from another band and she got put in a type of jail because it interfered too much with her Psycho-Pass.

Again I have to applaud this anime for doing something really good, this was to bring up a character that you don't think is that important or noteworthy. Only to explore that person later on and bring them into the narrative and plot. Yuki, the school event and Sasayama are three perfect examples of this.

The sibyl system is questioned even more and more. Essentially, the sibyl system is really simple and effective, but it's also unfair and sometimes even inhumane. As we have clearly seen, there have been so many incidents where a person has a high criminal coefficient without someone being an actual criminal. There are also people, like Shogo who can surpass the sibyl system with other methods like f.ex using REAL weapons and therefore being independent of the technology.

Like in the previous opening, "There's so much beauty, yet I can't see the light". Because that's the thing. Even though the Sibyl System in Psycho-Pass is "perfect" for most people, it still carries out some issues. This brings me to a huge problem that has reappeared in Psycho-Pass. Everyone is too sensitive! No one can handle conflict and thus when their psycho passes just gets a little too clouded because of some trauma, they suddenly become criminals! Also, if you're an Inspector and have seen some f'd up stuff, then you automatically become an Enforcer just because of your Psycho-Pass getting clouded.

Speaking of the opening, it changed to a good one. The new one is not great, which is understandable since the previous one was so awesome. None the less, I still like it, just not love.

EPISODES 13-15

Episode 13 has so far been the only episode that's just good, not mind-blowing but just good. Here, Akane went through treatment basically experiencing her friend's death. We also found out that there is both a son and a father in the police department, that's pretty good, right?

Anyways, after that episode, this show has become unpredictable as hell. Holy sheeeeeeeeeeeeet! Why this show gotta be so unpredictable? Shougo Makishima is one hell of a villain. Since they figured out who he was around episode 11, he has now gone on to send anonymous, helmet-wearing gangsters to beat up and kill civilians. These last three episodes have as you may have read, have been insane.

EPISODES 16-20

So let's recap, Shougo Akashima got captured, escaped and we are now introduced to another villain, who is the head of MWPSB!

Also, rest in peace Kagari, my boy died only for the purpose of him not telling anyone what would happen. He was the one who made everyone feel easy and comfortable. Now, as a consequence of his death, the MWPSB is starting to break down because the steaks are getting higher and the mood is getting more and more tense and serious. Ginoza's psycho pass is starting to get clouded, Kogami has quit his job, etc.

I knew that there would be a twist, I just didn't know what it would be about and this was not what I expected. The twist has to do with the official reveal of the sibyl system! In previous episodes, we got a preview of how it looked like, where there where brains everywhere moving in different directions; up and down. The explanation is what happened and it's even more gruesome then what I thought it would be. Here's how the system works: The outliers of the sibyl systems' brains are used to read the criminal coefficient. What's practical about this it that those who don't belong anywhere on the sibyl system are the most useful for the system. Not only does this benefit the criminals, but also the citizens. It's decided on what makes them the happiest so the pressure of deciding what they want to do with their life is off.

But this has loads of problems, mostly that it's EXTREMELY immoral. Like I said before, just because you have a high criminal coefficient doesn't mean that you are the criminal, likewise, if you have a low criminal coefficient doesn't mean that you're NOT a criminal. Also, why would criminals decide if you are a criminal or not? That's even more immoral. The sibyl system answer is that because this system can achieve perfection by using its outliers as the source, then the system transcends all morals and ethics.

So why explain this to Akane, who uses ethics more than any other person at Sibyl System? Well, because both the sibyl system and Akane share a similar goal: to remove criminals from the streets! But why tell this to just Akane, you might think? Well, that's because she is the only person at MWPSB who is the most goal-oriented and question-seeking out of her and her colleges and she's the least likely to tell anyone or do something about it. Which they're wrong about that because in late episode 20 we saw Akane taking action and making a promise with the Sibyl System that if Shogo gets captured, Kogami gets set free.

Akane's philosophy is the following: Humans should try to feel around what they want to do with their life and find the meaning themselves instead of a system figuring out it for them.

Kogami has now quit his job and is now on a mission to hunt down Shogo, which was the best thing he could do because if he stayed he had to be under control by the chief, who's brain is used by the sibyl system! I think now that she's the TRUE villain of this series.

I'm beginning to also understand Shogo's philosophy. That human should act on their free will and he has wanted to see what happens when humans can do when they're the most "alive" and "free", which in most cases means that he wants to see them fulfill all of their desires, no matter how illegal they are. He has been fucked since Day 1, since he is an outlier of the Sibyl System where his crime coefficient can't be measured, therefore he has been alienated at what makes him human where everyone can find out what makes them happy, except for him (and some other people)!

The fight that was, at the beginning as a flash-forward, which has now been shown again in Episode 17, is a beautiful fight between Kogami and Shogo, both of whom are masters at martial arts.

This show has now answered most questions but I have two. What I'm wondering now is first: How will the series end? Now, Shogo is planning to commit bio-terrorism at it seems like the largest manufacture facility of hyper-oats, which 99% of all food comes from. The second question I have is: Do the outliers have to switch brains with someone else in order to survive or do they just die when they become a part of the Sibyl System?

EPISODES 21-22 (FINALE)

Akane has become such an independent and awesome detective since she has been shown the Sibyl System. She is now my favorite character from the whole show and the one that I will remember the most, Shogo and Kogami are great as well, but I like Akane the most. First of all R.i.p Tomomi Masaoka. Ginoza's father got killed and he and Ginoza had a moment when Ginoza almost got killed by Shogo by then Masaoka jumped in to save him.

And R.i.p Shogo Makishima, your death was sad and made me tear up a bit. You were awesome and one of the greatest villains in all of anime. I really like the way he died. The sun was setting, there was sad piano music in the background and we got to see the first time in the show of him being vulnerable (him crying).

Lesbians? Yes, I didn't realize this until now. But, Yayoi is a lesbian and Kanamori is bisexual. This was very surprising to see, but a cool twist I guess. I feel a bit stupid about that since it was hinted so many times that she was interested in girls with her being in a band and in a special "relationship" with a singer from another band.

Akane is now a senpai who is the instructor to new members of the MWSP, at the end of episode 22 we got to see a new member getting instructed which is the exact same as how Akane got instructed in the last episode.

Conclusion: Psycho-Pass has become one of my all-time favorite anime. Even though the last half was awesome, I like the first half a bit more since it had less of an idea of what was happening. But I loved that in the first half I had many questions like f.ex; How does the Sibyl System work? or Why does everyone except this system except for Akane? or even What is the point of this system as well as who is behind it?

INFJ Anime Characters

Here's a fun list of characters that I think are INFJs. Since INFJs are uncommon IRL, they also seem to be very uncommon in anime which makes sense. I can confirm that these characters are INFJ on the basis that I can relate to them and their personality since I'm one myself. Might add an explanation to these characters, but for now, here's the list!

Akane Tsunemori (Psycho-Pass)

Homura (Madoka Magica)

Tsubaki (Soul Eater, might be an ISFJ)

Rika (Higurashi)

Johan Liebert (Monster)

Kenzo Tenma (Monster)

Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke)

Haku (Spirited Away)

Griffith (Berserk)

Mio (K-On!)

All Psycho Pass 2 Notes

EPISODES 1-2

I'm not a fan of these two episodes. Let me be clear that I really DON'T like these two episodes.

This season kicks off right where S1 left off, or at least that's what it felt like but apparently, there has so far been only worse animation, shittier characters, a more boring plot, and a much, MUCH worse villain. Let's start off with the animation being worse, it looks less poppy and bright, almost toned down. The futuristic setting paired really well with the look of the characters, but here it looks weird since it's toned down so much, and the problem doesn't lie with the resolution. I have watched both seasons with 1080p, however, the new one looks just "worse" for some reason. This is most likely due to the switch in studios, but I'm not sure about this as of now. I will elaborate more on this in later episode reviews.

The new characters are also really bad and poorly written, they have no characterization like f.ex a backstory, any weird quirks, and motives. They more or less feel like cardboard cutouts and this makes me feel NO reason to care about these people. With these new characters, we have gotten none of that. What I'm trying to say is that there is no flesh to the bone with the characters. What made the characters in the first season so interesting was that most of them used to have a motive, but over time lost it, like f.ex Kogami became jaded and lost his purpose for being a detective since he's college buddy got slaughtered. Masaoka had similarly to Tsunemori, the instinct of justice but lost it when he realized that he didn't have control over who was or wasn't a criminal. Ginoza became stressed out after an incident that happened and has been frustrated ever since then. The only one who still had a purpose was Yayoi, who wanted to be an enforcer because her girlfriend had become a latent criminal, but that was still revealed later.

And then entered Tsunemori, who started to question the system after watching an innocent civilian gets killed by the dominator. This was the inciting incident of the show where her colleges realize that she might have a point and that there might be some deep mystery that they're all unaware of. This new season doesn't even have a fucking inciting incident, it just rolls after episode 1. In S1, you really understood that these are detectives who catch and kill criminals, where it's a world full of morals and ethics, so it made perfect sense that the main theme of the show would be laws, and the morals behind them. And I get that the point of this season is to show how Akane has adapted to the system after she realized the truth, but it's only disappointed me.

With the plot, it's even worse. There are no new questions that have been raised like f.ex Is the Sibyl System moral and who counts as a criminal? These questions got risen up in the very first episode of S1. But here, no new questions have appeared. Also, the new missions lack the excitement that the first season delivered. Since none of the new characters question the system, the stakes are incredibly low and the criminals are just crazy lunatics compared to in S1, where the criminals were more or fewer puppeteers by Makashima. And yes, the criminals here also seem to be that as well, but he feels like he controls them extremely poorly. Like f.ex he just lets his buddy die without any reason. Whereas in S1, Makashima disposed of his pawns for a REASON.

And lastly, I know it's hard to make a villain that's as good as Makashima, but then don't make a lesse version of the former! The new villain looks extremely vanilla and is most likely lacking characterization, what a coincidence that his name is Kirito as well.

Like Makashima, He's behind all of the new crimes, but the biggest mistake is that he's revealed in the first episode! In S1, Makashima was revealed to be behind all of the crimes first in episode 9, but this guy is shown instantly without any buildup or characterization. Like the other new characters, we don't know any of his motives, all that we get shown is that he sprays "WC" to the locations where he slaughtered his victims and to those that he's a warning.

The only thing that I can make small praise for in this season is the development of Akane, since learning about the Sibyl System has become much more assertive and completely stopped being a pushover. But then, this was already shown in the last 3 episodes of the original season, so it doesn't matter too much.

These were the main four issues that I've had with PP-2, but I had some enormous pet peeves as well. Like f.ex Akane is now a smoker, which bugs me a lot. I can see why since her job is stressful, but it feels a bit out of place. I see Akane as a pure character, sure she has issues but I don't see her as someone who would smoke, but remember these are more nitpicks rather than major issues. Kogami has basically disappeared from the face of the earth without any explanation as to why and at first it felt like this came right after S1, but there has been a 1-year time skip.

Overall, I'm not impressed and I sincerely hope that things will become better later on so that my suffering for these earlier episodes has been worth it.

EPISODES 3-5

You know what? These latest three episodes haven't been as bad as the first two. But that doesn't mean that they're great episodes, they just include moments that are entertaining, most of which are things that also happened in the last season, but I digress.

The only good thing where the hostage situation in episode 4 and especially when Division 3 took over and shot all of them, which still looks so cool.

One thing that I thought was neat was when Kirito had made a game where when they did something in the game, someone in real life would die, that was cool.

There's at least finally some narrative going on now. Apparently, there's a guy in the MWPSB who is hunting down Akane and one of the new inspectors called Mika is slowly finding out this secret. His name is Togane and it was shown that he had a high criminal coefficient, which makes it believable, This is actually quite an interesting dynamic, that there is a villain to hunt down but Togane distracts Akane just because he is evil and wants to see her psycho-pass get a black hue. I'm at least glad that there is someone there to save her, hope she does it well though.

Kiritos victim has this Stockholm syndrome thing going on, that came from absolutely nowhere without any reason.

Overall, the rest has just been so boring, I can't even come up with any words to describe how boring this season is and man does it truly suck, I felt like I have said everything in my analysis of the first two episodes, so that's why there's so much empty space here.

EPISODES 6-8

You know what? I was wrong about something. There are a couple of good things about this season. The main thing being the two missions that the detectives have had to do, but what this show lacks is that it feels like it won't matter too much in the long run. In S1, everything felt like it leads up to something and it did! We'll see, if the ending sucks then this show will be a 3 or a 4 (depending on what we'll see) but if it gets better then this then it might even be a 6!

I just realized that Mika is the same girl who got her friend killed in S1, that was really cool! But, the show did not a good job of making me remember that.

One thing I can also appreciate is the fleshing out of two minor characters in the first show. The psychologist and the philosopher. I think that these two have gotten more of an important role and explanation to their characters and that's rewarding since I really liked these two characters (especially the philosopher) and wanted to see more of them.

The villain in the show also doesn't suck as much as I thought he did. The problem was just the way they introduced him. And he still feels like a lesser version of Shogo. What made Shogo so interesting is how mysterious he was, at first it felt like there where just random crimes happening, but there was one mastermind behind all of them and that didn't get revealed until episode 9, but still feels familiar since we saw him in a flash-forward in the first episode.

However, in this season they introduced Kirio instantly and then they showed the crimes he committed, I think that this makes the crimes less suspenseful as well as making the villain feel more boring. And much like Shogo, he felt isolated from society since he wasn't recognized as a member of the sibyl system.

We still don't know his main motive, but we do know that he is the sole survivor of a plane crash. And since then, he has been messed around with the victims to make him a blend of 100 brains and personalites, which I found to be quite creepy, I do wonder now who's behind this? So, props to this show for making me feel engaged again!

There is one problem with this season that I haven't yet addressed and that's the lack of development in the plot and the old characters. Here's the thing, even though Akane is a badass here, she was a badass in the last 3 episodes of S1, even though Ginoza is much calmer and collected, this was shown in the last episode, even though they're new characters, this was shown in the last episode of S1.

It just feels like a lot of the potential excitement that this show could've brought was already brought in the last 3 episodes of the original season.

Okay..

So, I finished episode 8 and this is actually getting really interesting. Joshu Kasei is Toganes mom and Togane was more or less a test subject from the AA, which is the project where they morphed Kirito and all of the victims into one single body. Mika has now found this secret and has realized that both Kogame and Kirito are similar as they're both villains. Since founding out about all of this, she is now going to be told the secret of the sibyl system.

This was interesting since it exposed a lot of the corruptness that exists within the police department.

EPISODES 9-11

I just finished watching PP2 and I'm right now on a tight rope. On the one hand, this season continued off smoothly and presented a new villain with his own interesting and unique motive, as well as how he tries to abolish the sibyl system whilst using pawns in order to kill both innocent civilians and rich corporation lunatics, which was in some ways, even more, entertaining compared to S1. However, on the other hand, this season feels like a copycat of the first one, whilst at the same time ignoring many of the things that made it so great. And even those things that are enjoyable about the season are things that already existed in the last one, making this one feel non-canon and useless.

One huge reason why I was so displeased with this season was the introduction of all of the new characters, an example of a character that was not only unnecessary to the story but also obnoxious was by the name of Mika. At best, a boring and unnecessary and at worst, a whiny and useless inspector who held an unnecessary and unexplained grudge against Akane. Then, we see her character trying to stop Tsugune from clouding Akane's psycho Pass, only to fail at that and get her own one clouded. Even when she confronted the villain, her mind got broken and she couldn't come up with a response, hence the really weird clapping scene at the beginning of Episode 9.

And that's my biggest complaint with this season, many things that are presented feel weird and out of place. I.e in the ending, where Kirito and Tsugune get shot and get killed almost at the same time, which was for me incredibly anti-climatic because of the show. Another strange thing was the chief, who seems to any many different forms for some unexplained reason. Another really weird thing happening was when Akane's grandmother, who died because Togane wanted to see Akane's psycho-pass get clouded. Nothing is inherently plotwise bad about that, it's just that it doesn't make sense that at the end, Akane's psycho-pass didn't get clouded at all after everything that happened.

Speaking of Kirito and Tsugene, most of the time, they felt like copycats of Shogo and Tsugene whilst not having as interesting characterization (backstory, quirks, development, etc). Even though they had a unique intention, their personalities were way too similar to the previous characters in the show. Kamui was much weaker and fragile compared to Shogo, f.ex, in the end, he could've saved them. But instead, he tried to

The very worst thing about this show is the first 3 episodes, my god are they all TERRIBLE! We are immediately rushed into a situation where they are trying to arrest a criminal who's bombing different locations for Kamui. But we get absolutely no information about what's happening, why there even arresting him and why we should care. We just seem to have to figure that out ourselves. Which in some cases might be understandable and even necessary, but doing that in the FIRST episode of a NEW season just feels useless and out of place.

To conclude, this season hasn't been at all as good as the first one. Episode 1-3 were awful, 4 to 6 where decent and 7 to 11 had good things about it. My biggest complaints can be summed up as such: Things were too similar to the first season without being as good as the second one or barely breaking any new mold such as f.ex presenting any moral ideas and the second issue is that there are too many things that either don't make sense, are illogical, are unexplained, etc. A great example of this is how Akane's hue had the same color even after hearing about her college killing her grandmother.
f
EDIT: I understand Joshu Karei's character now. She's basically just a mix of brains from Sibyl System. She is no real human, only a shell with brains that are all connected at the same time.

Psycho-Pass 2 Eps 9-11 & Conclusion

Problems I Have With SAO

I recently rewatched the first 6 episodes of the original series and ohh, do I have some problems with this. This is just going to be a list where I talk about all of the problems I have with this show.

1. The mood is serious all the time
2. NO humor
3. Kirito is a gary stu
4. He willed himself back to life
5. They went into heaven
6. The villain has no intention for why he killed people
7. No cohesive plot or narrative
8. Unnecessary harem and everyone is obsessed with Kirito
9. Kirito is OP for no reason
10. WTF pacing
11. There people who don't like they play games that play SAO
12. Suguhas incestuous relationship
13. The second villain
14. Putting Asuna in a cage
15. Lack of any threat
16. Many of the supporting cast has no purpose for them to be around Kirito
17. Wasted potential

Psycho Pass 2 Episode 6-8 Analysis

You know what? I was wrong about something. There are a couple of good things about this season. The main thing being the two missions that the detectives have had to do, but what this show lacks is that it feels like it won't matter too much in the long run. In S1, everything felt like it leads up to something and it did! We'll see, if the ending sucks then this show will be a 3 or a 4 (depending on what we'll see) but if it gets better then this then it might even be a 6!

I just realized that Mia is the same girl who got her friend killed in S1, that was really cool!

But what made him so interesting is how mysterious he was, at first it felt like there where just random crimes happening, but there was one mastermind behind all of them and that didn't get revealed until episode 9. However, in this season they introduced Kirio instantly and then they showed the crimes he committed, I think that this makes the crimes less suspenseful as well as making the villain feel more boring. And much like Shogo, he felt isolated from society since he wasn't recognized as a member of the sibyl system.

We still don't know his motive, but we do know that he is the sole survivor of a plane crash. And since then, he has made robotic clones of the victims and he has somehow infused there brains and personalities into him.

Psycho-Pass 2 Episodes 3-5 Analysis

You know what? These latest three episodes haven't been as bad as the first two. But that doesn't mean that they're the slightest good.

Apparently, there's a guy in the MWSBP who is hunting down Akane and one of the new inspectors called Mika is slowly finding out this secret.

Psycho-Pass 2 Episodes 1-2 Review

I'm not a fan of these two episodes. Let me be clear that I really DON'T like these two episodes.

This season kicks off right where S1 left off, or at least that's what it felt like but apparently, there has so far been only worse animation, shit new characters, a boring plot, and a much, MUCH worse villain.

And then entered Tsunemori, who questioned the system after watching an innocent civilian gets killed by the dominator. This was the inciting incident of the show where her colleges realize that she might have a point and that there might be some deep mystery that they're all unaware of. This new season doesn't even have a fucking inciting incident, it just rolls after episode 1. In S1, you really understood that these are detectives who catch and kill criminals, where it's a world full of morals and ethics, so it made perfect sense that most of them had been let down by the system. and I get that the point of this season is to show how Akane has adapted to the system after she realized the truth, but it's only disappointed me.

Like f.ex he just let's his buddy die without any reason. Whereas in S1, Makashima disposed of his pawns for a REASON.

And lastly, I know it's hard to make a villain that's as good as Makashima, but here they barely even tried. The new villain doesn't have any character, what a coincidence that his name is Kirito as well. Like Makashima, He's behind all of the new crimes, but the biggest mistake is that he's revealed in the first episode! In S1, Makashima was revealed to be behind all of the crimes first in episode 9 and this guy is shown instantly without any buildup or characterization. Like the other new characters, we don't know any of his motives, all that we get shown are these two things, 1. That he is working for the MWBSP and 2. He sprays "WC" to the locations where he slaughtered his victims and to those that he's a warning.

The only thing that I can make small praise for this season is the development of Akane, since learning about the Sibyl System has become much more assertive and more of a leader then before. But then, this was already shown in the last 3 episodes of the original season, so it doesn't matter too much.

These where the main four issues that I've had with PP-2, but I had some enormous pet peeves as well. Like f.ex Akane is now a smoker for no apparent reason, Kogami has basically disappeared from the face of the earth without any explanation as to why and at first it felt like this came right after S1, but there has been a 1-year time skip.

Overall, I'm not impressed and I sincerely hope that things will become better later on so that my suffering for these earlier episodes has been worth it.

Psycho-Pass Episodes 21-22 (Finale) Thoughts

*WARNING- MASSIVE SPOILERS*

Akane has become such an independent and awesome detective since she has been shown the Sibyl System. She is my favorite character from the whole show and the one that I will remember the most, Shogo and Kogami were great as well. First of all R.i.p Tomomi Masaoka. Ginoza's father got killed and he and Ginoza had a moment where Ginoza almost died.

R.i.p Shogo Makishima, your death was sad and made me tear up a bit. You were awesome and one of the greatest villains in all of anime. I really like the way he died. The sun was setting, there was sad piano music in the background and we got to see the first time in the show of him being vulnerable (him crying)

Lesbians? Yes, I didn't realize this until now. But, Yayoi is a lesbian and Kanamori is bisexual. This was very surprising to see, but a cool twist I guess. I feel a bit stupid about that since it was hinted so greatly that she was interested in girls with her being in a band and in a special "relationship" with a singer from another band.

Akane is now a senpai who is the instructor to new members of the MWSP, at the end of episode 22 we got to see a new member getting instructed which is the exact same as how Akane got instructed in the last episode.

Conclusion: Psycho-Pass has become one of my all-time favorite shows. Even though the last half was awesome, I like the first half a bit more since I had less of an idea of what was happening. But I loved that in the first half I had many questions like f.ex; How does the Sibyl System work? or Why does everyone except this system except for Akane? or even What is the point of this system as well as who is behind it?

Psycho-Pass Episode 16-20

*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

So let's recap, Shougo Akashima got captured, escaped and we are introduced to another villain, who is the head of MWPSB!

Also, rest in peace Kagari, my boy died only for the purpose of him not telling anyone what would happen. He was the one who made everyone feel easy and comfortable. Now, as a consequence of his death, the MWBSP is starting to break down because the steaks are getting higher and the mood is getting more and more serious. Ginoza's psycho pass is starting to get clouded, Kogami has quit his job, etc.

I knew that there would be a twist, I just didn't know what it would be about and this was not what I expected. The twist has to do with the official reveal of the sibyl system! In previous episodes, we got a preview of how it looked like, where there where brains everywhere going in different directions; up and down. The explanation is what happened and it's more gruesome then what I thought it would be. The outliers of the sibyl systems' brains are used to read the criminal coefficient. What's practical about this it that those who don't belong anywhere on the sibyl system are the most useful for the system. Not only does this benefit the criminals, but also the citizens. It's decided on what makes them the happiest so the pressure of deciding what they want to do with their life is off.

But this has loads of problems, it's immoral. Like I said before, just because you have a high criminal coefficient doesn't mean that you are the criminal, likewise, if you have a low criminal coefficient doesn't mean that you're NOT a criminal. Also, why would criminals decide if you are a criminal or not? That's even more immoral.

So why explain this to Akane, who uses ethics more than any other person at Sibyl System? Well, because both the sibyl system and Akane share a similar goal: to remove criminals from the streets! But why Akane? Because she is the only person at MWBSP who is the most goal-oriented and question seeking out of her and her colleges and she's the least likely to tell anyone or do something about it.

I think that she's the TRUE villain of this series.

I'm beginning to also understand Shogo's philosophy. That human should act on their free will and he has wanted to see what happens when humans do. He has been fucked since Day 1, since he is an outlier of the Sibyl System where his crime coefficient can't be measured, therefore he has been alienated at what makes him human where everyone can find out what makes them happy, except for him!

Shogo has then gone on to try to answer: what makes people go over the edge? What's also interesting about him is just how independent he is from the sibyl system.

The fight that was, at the beginning, which was shown in Episode 17, is a beautiful fight between Kogami and Shogo, both of whom are masters at martial arts.

Psycho-Pass Episodes 13-15

*ENORMOUS, HUGEMOUNGOUS, 15-INCH DICK SPOILERS*

These last three episodes have as you may have read, been insane.

Psycho Pass Episodes 10-12 Thoughts

*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

Episodes 10-11

Shougi has gotten shot again! This was surprising since I thought that he had become more "bulletproof" since Akane accidentally shot him out of fear. Shougo has now gone personal and has used Akane's friend in order to capture her and Shougi. What happened is that because Shougi is such an ISTP, he had safely avoided being kidnapped. Someone who was less fortunate however was the friend.

And Jesus christ.... Shogo is one evil motherfucker! He has now killed a character that I never thought would reappear again. And yet she did, that was one of Tsunemoris friend who Shogo killed. Before this incident, Shougi never killed anyone, he made other people kill his victims for him. If he's the king of the chessboard, then the cyborg is the bishop and everyone else is a disposable pawn, like f.ex that psycho schoolgirl and that cyborg killer.

The morality behind the Sibyl System has also reappeared! Now the question is more of how many people can escape the system without their psycho passes getting clouded. Apparently, Shougo has never had his psycho-pass clouded before and his criminal coefficient is too low for him to get shot. He's supposedly a good boi, Therefore, Akane couldn't just kill him with the weapon.

Anyways, the show goes in a calmer note in Episode 12, which is an episode about a character that I haven't thought of at all so far, it's Yayoi. It was about her backstory and how Yaoyi had eventually become an enforcer for MWPSB.

The sibyl system is questioned more and more. Essentially, the sibyl system is really simple and effective, but it's also unfair and sometimes inhumane.

Even though the Sibyl System in Psycho-Pass is "perfect" for someone who lives there, it carries out too many issues. This brings me to a huge problem that has reappeared in Psycho-Pass. Everyone is too sensitive! No one can handle conflict and thus when their psycho passes just to get a little too clouded because of some trauma, they suddenly become criminals! Also, if you're an Inspector and have seen some f'd up stuff, then you automatically become an Enforcer just because of your Psycho-Pass getting lowered down.

Speaking of the opening, it changed to a good one. The new one is not great, which is understandable since the previous one was so awesome.

Ramblings Of A Madman

I'm in hell right now, that might sound overdramatic but that's the situation I've been in the past month. I'm in the middle of changing schools and it's super stressful. I've watched porn three times in the last two days. Which is something that I never do since nowadays I'm on NoFap. Whenever I watch porn, it's always because I feel like I'm lacking something. I either feel helpless, lonely or just a feeling that I'm going nowhere in life.

This year, I've been trying to become more creative and it has definitely worked. I've focused that creative energy on anime; with making reviews, blog posts, youtube videos, answering quora questions, editing a fandom page, etc. I've even attempted to draw and make a story, which both times I've failed miserably at. The thing is that I've enjoyed doing these things, but eventually I completely lose motivation and I quit. It's the same cycle: I get inspired, I work hard at it for a couple of weeks, I lose motivation and I stop. Every time. Speaking of anime, I like to watch it when I feel like my life is in order. Last month, I only finished 1 show. This month, I've watched around 3 shows, Psycho-Pass, Kill la kill and Berserk. Two of those I really like, one I think is okay.

I feel like right now there is no point for me to study because I'm changing school. I despise my school as well as my class. Most people are just unrelatable and two weeks ago, I only went to school twice that whole week. I'm also not engaged with my studies since I've improved my grades so rapidly. Now I feel like I've achieved my goal but now I don't have a new one, which has sapped out all of my motivation.

For the past month, I've felt like there is almost no way out. I've cried 3 times this last month since I've felt so down. And I never cry except for when I'm consuming media. Except for movies, music, and anime, I may have cried twice in 2018 over real-life stuff. The worst part is that it feels like everyone around can just go with the flow but for some reason, I can't. I think though that person are better at hiding it than me,

I've lost motivation in almost everything. The gym, guitar, meeting friends, studying, etc. The worst part is that people have noticed this and they try to help with "Just do it", yes thank you so much for saying what I already know.

Which goes the same for all those self-help channels out there, their the WORST. Their so incestuous, they always give you the same advice, make the same "motivational" videos, etc. But my question is, what have THEY done? The answer is usually NOTHING. They just make these videos for a penny and THAT'S IT. All of these people like Improvement pill, Be Inspired, Fight mediocrity, Aaron doughty, etc. THERE ALL THE SAME! The only one who's content is interesting and y'know HELPFUL is Actualized.Org. I strongly recommend him.

But, I see that there is a light at the end of this dark and brutal tunnel. I will reach it and all of this will be over with.

I don't expect anyone to read this. This is just the ramblings of a madman because I feel like I'm actually going in that direction. To summarize; my life kind of sucks right now, but I'm trying my hardest to be better. Just doing this had made me feel better.

Ja nee.

Psycho-Pass Eps 4-9

*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

This show is starting to get really interesting. In the first three episodes, I was way more focused on the main two characters in the story. But ever since Ep.4, I've been much more interested in the plot of the show. The show has a structure now, where they spend 2-3 episodes investigating the crime and finding out the criminal.

So 1. They look for a killer, 2. The main two see a guy who I felt bad for.

I think that Shougi and Tsunemori will eventually end up in a relationship since everyone in the show hints at her liking him and she blushes and says "chigau", so adorable.

Speaking of Shougi, now we finally found out what had happened in his past that has made him so emotionless and deadpan nowadays. It was that his college that he was close with died in a super brutal way.

That's all for now, might update later.

Psycho Pass Episode 1-3 Thoughts

*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD*

Psycho-Pass is a show that's been a high priority on my PTW list. The only thing I knew before going into this show was that 1. Hana Kanazawa is playing the female MC, 2. It's a cyberpunk anime 3. It has 3 seasons and is airing one right as I'm typing and 4. The main villain is supposed to be amazing, 5. I've seen a pic with brains that have to do with the show and finally the catchy yet chaotic opening.

Episode 1: It had an interesting first 2 minutes of something that would happen later (TTGL also did this), The main villain and Shinya Kougami basically had a fight, where I'm predicting it will either fit in or reappear in some of the last episodes in the show, so as of right now, it didn't make sense but it probably will. Everyone in the world has a Psycho-Pass, that they can use to make sure that their emotions and life are in order and that every desire gets fulfilled. When the psycho-pass gets clouded, that's when the police break in and force you to go to therapy or get killed. No one in this show seems to get arrested, the criminals either get to therapy or get slaughtered.

Anyways, like I mentioned in things that I knew when going into Psycho-Pass, Hana Kanazawa is in here! She then shoots Kougami, which was suspenseful af! Everything from them killing the perpetrator dying in the most genius way to her shooting Kougami was amazing. Psycho-Pass has seriously one of the best first episodes in anime history, it's up there with Monster, Gurren Lagann & Steins: Gate.

Episode 2: After the high intensity and dramatic first episode. This one is more slowed down and focuses more on dialogue and is set in the daylight. Kougami is now in the hospital and Akane feels gloomy about what has happened. Everyone kind of ignore her, but when they see that is was truly an accident that happened on her first day of the job, they start to talk to her again. There is no mission here and we get to see Kougami explaining his actions where we get to see a flashback off something traumatic that had happened to him.

I'm looking forward to watching some more of this, really great so far. I have no complaints except for the fight in Episode 3 only being alright.
